AudreyAudrey’s heart began to pound as she stepped from the limousine. The flashing lights of the paparazzi blinded her for a moment, causing her steps to falter. She hated this part of her job, but her contract required her to make an appearance at the premiere.Steeling herself, she walked regally down the red carpet, the black designer gown accenting her willowy figure. The diamonds in her tiara and on her choker sparked with each camera flash, and her naturally platinum blonde hair shimmered. Halfway to the theater doors, she paused and turned, then lifted her gloved hand and waved at her cheering fans, a sweetly shy smile playing across her lips.Turning back, she made her way through the doors and let out a deep breath. The crowd went wild.

Audrey is completely handmade, from my own original design. Her body is made from the classic Rockford red heel socks used for sock monkey dolls. Her hair is made from yarn. Her black satin dress has a velvety floral pattern overall. Her gloves are white satin. She has a purple tulle slip on under her gown, and her shoes are made from painted polymer clay and black vinyl, with purple ribbon roses on each. She is wearing a black satin choker with a large faux pearl surrounded by rhinestones, and a rhinestone tiara. Her bracelet is of faux pearls and her “ring” is a rhinestone button. She is carrying a matching handbag (not pictured). Audrey’s eyes and nose are made of felt and hand-painted. Audrey has sculpted features - hands, feet, and mouth and she stands 25" from topknot to toes. She is made from the largest size socks available, and is the tallest doll I can make. |
