Marlowe Edwards

All heads turned and conversation ceased as Marlowe stepped through the heavy double doors. Her tiara picked up the light from the flickering candles and shot dancing sparkles around the room as she nodded her thanks to the doorman.

Her fuchsia gown shimmered as she descended the steps that led to the Baron's ballroom, her dainty heels tapping lightly on the highly polished parquet floor. Still no one spoke, no eyes left her beautiful face.

There was a slight rustling off to the side and the Baron stepped out of the awestruck crowd. He stopped in front of Marlowe, bowed deeply and held out his hand to her. As she reached toward him, the orchestra began to play, and the Baron pulled Marlowe near and lightly spun her onto the dance floor.

The party-goers finally broke their silence and began whispering excitedly among themselves as the two most beautiful people at the ball whirled gracefully around the room.

Marlowe is completely handmade, from my own original design. Her body is made from the classic Rockford red heel socks used for sock monkey dolls. Her hair is made from yarn. Her gown is made from satin, covered in tulle, and adorned with a colored rhinestone button. Her matching handbag is made from the same fabrics as the dress, and finished off with iridescent silver-toned wired ribbon and a matching heart-shaped button. Her shoes are made of polymer clay, painted to match and lined with craft foam, with straps made from the same iridescent silver toned wired ribbon as is on the purse. Her outfit is finished off with a (purchased) tiara in silver-toned metal and rhinestones.

She is not a "play-with" sort of doll - her clothing is not made to be removed. She's a collectible, and expects to be treated like a princess!
