Paisley Sue Edwards

Paisley Sue is the quintessential 50s rocker girl, all decked out for the sock hop in her brand new pink "people" skirt and petticoat. She also bought a special blouse for the dance, a white sleeveless number with a lace front, and borrowed her big sister's velvet belt with the heart-shaped jewel-encrusted buckle. Her sister's going to be very angry when she finds out, but Paisley Sue doesn't care. It was the perfect belt for her outfit. Her mom loaned her the sheer black neck scarf, but she insisted Paisley Sue wear the tiny pink ribbons in her hair. She's not ready for her little girl to grow up.

Paisley Sue is completely handmade, from my own original design. The body is made from the classic Rockford red heel socks used for sock monkey dolls. Her hair is made from yarn. Her skirt is felt, petticoat tulle, blouse cotton/poly blend. Her shoes are hand made from black and white vinyl, and tied with pink ribbons. Her buckle is polymer clay, painted and decorated with faux jewels. The body is stuffed with polyester fiberfill. Her hand-painted eyes and nose are made from felt. She has sculpted features - mouth, hands and feet. She stands 20" from her topknot to her toes.

She is not a "play-with" sort of doll - her clothing is not made to be removed. She's a collectible, and expects to be treated like a queen!
